Bringing Surrender into Practice

Exploring the Unlived Life

2–6 July 2026 | Bath UK | £600

What is it?

This 3-day retreat is an opportunity to develop your capacity for surrender and to open more deeply to your relationship with Truth.

It draws upon the core components of Enlightenment Intensives: structure, self-discovery, contact and commitment.

It brings these together to support the practice of surrender in everyday life.

Why do it?

Allowing more truth in our lives often means opening to the unique ‘call’ within each of us.

Jungian psychology speaks of the unlived life as perhaps the largest part of the shadow – the gifts withheld, the desires deferred.

What goes unmet in us does not disappear. Somewhere within, we know that the unique pattern of who we are has more to live and more to give.

Surrender practice is an ongoing conversation with our highest truth. We do not grasp for the unlived life. We surrender towards it.

What are the practices?

Three practices form the heart of the retreat:

  • surrender commitment

  • surrendered writing

  • dyads

Like the EI contemplation technique, all three combine will and surrender – intention and openness.

This retreat is for those who seek an ongoing relationship with Truth, or the Divine within. It is an opportunity to begin developing a surrender practice that is genuinely your own.
