Online Dyad Groups
with Emma & Barry
We currently host monthly Online Dyad Groups. These are completely free and open to all with some dyad experience, including Enlightenment Intensive participants.
Dates & Times
Our Online Dyad Groups are held monthly (more or less) on Sundays, from 4 pm to 6 pm UK time.
Next date: Sunday 12 JULY.
If you are on our mailing list, we will be in touch with specific dates and Zoom links.
If you would like to be added to our mailing list for online dyad groups, let us know using our Contact page – and please state whether you have prior experience with dyads.
Format
Each meeting includes a brief intro by Emma. This is followed by two 40-minute dyad sessions, with a short break between them.
For the dyads, participants are assigned to breakout rooms in pairs.
You are welcome to join for the full session or just for one dyad if you prefer – whatever works best for you.
Questions / Instructions
You can work on any question/instruction of their own choosing. If you need ideas, see these Dyad Questions and Instructions.
As soon as you enter a breakout room with a dyad partner, find out each other’s instructions.
👉 We recommend having pen and paper handy in case you need to write down your dyad partner’s instruction for reference.
Etiquette
The usual dyad protocols apply:
1. Being a good listening partner:
At the start of each 5-minute turn, give your partner their instruction. Then pay constant, respectful attention to your communicating partner. while it is their turn.
Avoid fidgeting or doing anything distracting.
Never respond to anything your parter says.
At the end of their 5-minute turn, remember to say “Thank you” before changing roles.
2. Being a good communicating partner:
Communicate to your partner with your eyes open and on them.
Never refer to your partner or to anything your partner has said.
3. Respecting absolute confidentiality:
Anything said in a dyad stays in that dyad.
Change-overs
We rely on self-managed changeovers by dyad partners. Ideally, we recommend participants to use the EI Gong Timer audio file which you can access or download here:
But note — to ensure both you and your partner can hear the bells, there may be some technical settings to adjust in Zoom before or during the meeting. See here:
If the technicalities seem too complicated or intimidating, you can simply rely on a regular clock and saying “Thank you” after 5 mins.
